Studios

There are 34 art studios spread over 3 floors of the pre First World War warehouse building. All of them have good natural light, double glazing, fitted with lights and sockets and are individually secure. Sizes start at 120 square foot and range up to 800 square foot. The prices can start at as little as £80pcm. Rents include electricity, water rates and service charges. The studios are friendly and offer a comfortable environment in which to evolve.

The studios have 24 hour access, parking facilities and good security. The spaces are based on the top three floors, but have two lifts to take you to the floors, one of which is a large goods lift.

Exhibiting and Project Space
On site a exhibiting and project space spans 2000sq ft across the attic of the fantastic building in which the studios are based. This space is available and given preference for use by all the artists at the Mother Studios. There is also some allotted time for outside artists or art organisations to hold events within the space. No money is asked for the hire.

OPEN POLICY
The categories which are used to describe what artists do are not necessarily either fine artist or designer maker, but possibly both. Therefore the studios have a policy not to discriminate in preference of one or the other.

RENTING TERMS
The contract is a licence.
A flexible minimum length of stay is required for 3 months but no maximum.
On moving in a month's rent in advance and a month's deposit is required.
A month's notice only is required on leaving.
All rent's are based on pcm and are inclusive of electricity.
The studios are work only. Not live/work.
